About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and selling construction and forestry equipment within the assigned region. The role involves visiting mining, rental and construction companies, understanding their equipment requirements, presenting suitable products, securing sales and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Training

• Grade 12
• Relevant Sales or Marketing qualification
• Valid driver’s licence

Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in business, sales and marketing
• Proven track record of achieving sales results
• Experience marketing construction and forestry equipment

Key Performance Areas

Marketing Management

• Support marketing activities to achieve sales targets
• Conduct equipment demonstrations for prospective customers
• Conclude sales and provide support across all equipment divisions

• Admin Tourism Service Excellence Ambassador
• Hygiene Technician x3 (FTC) – Anglo American
• Nedbank Client Advisor – Multiple Positions
• Print Room Operator (Production) – Lancet Laboratories
• Cashier: Station Fare Collection – IRPTN

Procurement and Stock Control

• Collaborate on stock planning and forecasting
• Ensure timely delivery of orders
• Negotiate suitable deals with customers and suppliers

Market Development

• Protect and expand existing markets
• Drive market growth in line with strategic objectives
• Maintain and grow John Deere market share

Administration and Reporting

• Record and monitor business activities
• Ensure order accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
• Submit monthly sales forecasts
• Resolve outstanding transactions
• Provide accurate and timely reports on business activities
