Minimum Requirements

Main Duties

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of the stockroom and warehouse area. Duties include:

• Receiving and offloading stock from trucks
• Stacking and storing products safely and neatly
• Merchandising products according to Pick n Pay standards
• Checking product quality
• Rotating stock to ensure older products are used first
• Identifying and removing expired products
• Helping prevent stock wastage, shrinkage and damage
• Maintaining clean, hygienic and organised work areas
• Operating and cleaning equipment according to required standards
• Following security and safety procedures
• Assisting customers and responding to queries courteously
• Performing additional duties assigned by management

Important Information

The position requires employees to maintain good housekeeping, hygiene and safe working standards in the warehouse, back-up and floor areas. The successful candidate may also be required to work or transfer between different stores, depending on operational requirements.
