Job Overview

The Gauteng Department of Health is inviting applications for two Registrar positions in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery.

Successful candidates will undergo specialist training, gaining clinical experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The programme includes patient treatment, academic presentations, research activities, undergraduate teaching and departmental duties.

This is a joint appointment between the Gauteng Department of Health and the University of the Witwatersrand.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification recognised by the HPCSA.
• Current HPCSA registration as a Dentist in the Independent Practice category.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience as a Dentist, excluding community service.
• Proof of successful completion of prescribed primary subjects relevant to Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery.
• Demonstrated interest in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery.

Added Advantages:

• MSc or relevant postgraduate qualification.
