Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is inviting unemployed South African graduates aged 18 to 35 to apply for its two-year Young Professional-in-Training programme in Sishen, Northern Cape.

Position Purpose

The Young Professional-in-Training programme is aimed at unemployed graduates who want to develop practical experience in their respective fields.

Successful candidates will participate in a structured and mentored 24-month graduate development programme. Progress is assessed every six months to ensure that the programme meets the expectations of both the trainee and Transnet Freight Rail.

Candidates will receive a combination of institutionalised knowledge and practical workplace training.

Work Exposure

Successful candidates will be placed for work exposure at:

Sishen Depot – Northern Cape

Candidates may also be placed in various depots or departments within Transnet Freight Rail as part of the recruitment and placement process.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a fully completed:

Bachelor’s Degree
National Diploma
Degree

The qualification must be in one of the following fields:

Human Resources Management
Industrial Psychology
Psychology
Social Work
Related field or discipline

The programme is intended for graduates from institutions registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training, including universities and universities of technology.

The advertisement refers to qualifications at NQF Level 6, 7 or 8.

Experience

No prior work experience is required.

Applicants should be unemployed graduates who have no previous work experience in their respective field of study.
