General Worker Stores Requirements

The position involves physical warehouse work, including handling stock, equipment and supplies. Applicants must therefore be able to work with cleaning materials, perform high-dusting and carry out other physically demanding tasks.

• Ability to issue stock.
• Ability to handle incoming and outgoing stock/buyouts according to the AOS (Accounting Officer System).

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointed General Worker will provide warehouse and stock support at Worcester Regional Hospital.

Key duties include:

• Receiving, handling and issuing stock.
• Maintaining accurate stock records.
• Ensuring adequate stock levels on shelves.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and organised.
• Supporting the movement and distribution of stock to hospital departments.
• Assisting with delivery, relocation and disposal of furniture and equipment.
• Handling furniture and equipment safely to prevent damage.
• Following departmental working hours, attendance and leave requirements.
• Complying with departmental policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Maintaining professional conduct.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and other departments.
• Performing other duties assigned by management.
