About the Position

The Call Centre Agent will support Tsebo’s sales and business development activities by managing customer enquiries, identifying potential business opportunities and ensuring that leads and related information are accurately recorded and followed up.

The position involves working with Sales Directors, Business Development Managers and various operational teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and responding to inbound customer enquiries through phone, email and website channels.
Conducting outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential business opportunities.
Researching companies, industries and decision-makers to support sales growth.
Processing and tracking leads through Salesforce and other approved systems.
Monitoring and distributing relevant tender opportunities.
Supporting supplier and vendor registration processes with prospective clients.
Maintaining accurate sales records, reports and lead tracking information.
Working closely with Sales Directors, Business Development Managers and operational teams.
Supporting customer acquisition and business development activities.

Requirements

To be considered for the Call Centre Agent position, applicants should have:

Grade 12 / Matric – essential.
1–3 years’ experience in customer service, call centre, sales support or a sales environment.
Experience in a service-based industry will be advantageous.
Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Excel.
Exposure to lead generation, customer engagement, sales administration and business development support activities.

A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service or a related field will be advantageous.
