Job Description

Standard Bank is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Relationship Banker Private Banking (Signature) in Cape Town.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with Private Banking clients, providing personalised financial solutions and managing client portfolios to improve customer experience and support the bank’s business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Private Banking clients.
• Identify opportunities to grow and retain client portfolios.
• Promote suitable banking, lending, wealth and digital solutions.
• Support credit applications and annual credit reviews.
• Manage customer queries and complaints.
• Identify client needs and recommend appropriate financial products.
• Ensure compliance with banking policies, risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Drive sales and deliver quality customer service.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A Bachelor of Commerce, Advanced Diploma or equivalent NQF Level 7 or higher qualification.
• A qualification in Finance, Business Commerce, Accounting or a related field.
• A FAIS-recognised or FAIS-aligned qualification.
• Must meet the Fit and Proper requirements.
• 2–4 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in affluent banking, Private Banking or relationship-managed client services.
• Experience in sales, customer service and relationship management.
• Knowledge of credit applications, financial solutions and portfolio management.

Experience in lending, financial analysis, credit processes and client reviews will be advantageous.
