Job Overview

AVBOB is recruiting 10 Financial Associates to join its Insurance Marketing team at the Klerksdorp Office in North West.

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Associate, your responsibilities will include:

• Marketing funeral insurance products.
• Marketing savings plans and related financial products.
• Identifying and developing potential clients.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers.
• Supporting sales and marketing activities within the Klerksdorp office.
• Providing customers with information about relevant insurance and financial products.
• Working towards sales and performance objectives.
• Maintaining professional standards when dealing with clients.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the relevant requirements for appointment in the financial services industry.

Minimum requirements include:

• Grade 12 and/or tertiary education with 30 credits on NQF Level 4.
• Compliance with FAIS legislation for registration as a Fit and Proper individual.
• Marketing experience.
• Clear ITC/credit record.
• Clear criminal record.

FAIS Requirements

Applicants who entered the financial services industry during different periods must meet the applicable FAIS requirements:

Applicants who entered the industry from 2004–2007:

• 30 credits on NQF Level 4 obtained by 31 December 2009.

Applicants who entered the industry from 2008–2009:

• 30 or 60 credits on NQF Level 4 obtained by 31 December 2011, or
• A full FAIS-recognised qualification obtained by 31 December 2013.

Applicants appointed in the industry from 2010 onwards:

• A full FAIS-recognised qualification is required.

• Hygiene Technician x3 (FTC) – Anglo American
• Nedbank Client Advisor – Multiple Positions
• Print Room Operator (Production) – Lancet Laboratories
• Cashier: Station Fare Collection – IRPTN

Advantageous Qualifications and Skills

The following will be advantageous:

• RE5 certificate.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Own reliable transport.
• Own cellphone.
• Sales and marketing experience.
• Knowledge of insurance or financial products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Customer-focused approach.

Who Should Apply?

This position may suit candidates who have Grade 12 or relevant tertiary education, marketing or sales experience, and meet the applicable FAIS Fit and Proper requirements.

Candidates with an RE5 certificate, driver’s licence and reliable transport may have an advantage.
