The Project Support Administrator will provide project administrative services and assist in coordinating the implementation of projects that support business objectives.

Key Result Areas

Project Reporting and Review

  • Draft project review reports and presentations.
  • Compile key information, commentary and recommendations.
  • Support stakeholders in evaluating project progress and agreeing on changes.

Project Planning

  • Carry out delegated activities supporting the development of workstream and project plans.
  • Help organise activities required to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure project planning activities comply with the organisation’s project management framework.

Document Preparation

  • Organise and prepare complex documents using standard office software and other applications.
  • Gather and summarise data for special reports.

Requirements Management

  • Identify, elicit and document project and process requirements.
  • Use appropriate modelling techniques where required.
  • Analyse and validate requirements with users.
  • Help eliminate ambiguity and confusion around requirements.
  • Define testing scripts and verification criteria.
  • Maintain project documentation and traceability.

Stakeholder Management

  • Support stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Arrange meetings, events and other stakeholder engagement activities.

Project Risk and Issue Management

  • Contribute to project risk and issue management.
  • Maintain and distribute project and programme risk registers.
  • Maintain issue logs and related documentation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Review existing operations within the area of responsibility.
  • Generate ideas that can contribute to continuous improvement.

Project Scope Definition

  • Conduct research, workshops and other activities.
  • Support the specification and agreement of project deliverables.

Contract Management

  • Carry out a range of contract management activities.

Project Closeout and Handover

  • Draft elements of product documentation and user training materials.
  • Support the handover of completed projects to business-as-usual operations.
  • Contribute to post-project reviews.
  • Assist with identifying lessons learned.

Project Resource Management

  • Carry out delegated activities to support the deployment and effective utilisation of project resources.

Personal Capability Building

  • Participate in assessment and development planning activities.
  • Participate in formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant technology, external regulations and industry best practices.
  • Continue professional development through education, conferences and specialist industry resources.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • NQF Level 5 – Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate, or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with HFM and Oracle will be an advantage.
