Tiger Brands is inviting applications for a Van Assistant position based in Secunda. The role supports the delivery and distribution of Tiger Brands products while ensuring that stock, money, vehicles and customer deliveries are handled according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Following company policies and standards relating to hygiene, dress code and safety.
• Reporting to work on time and maintaining good attendance.
• Supporting the safe and responsible use of company vehicles.
• Taking responsibility for vehicle damages and reporting issues appropriately.
• Maintaining positive relationships with trade customers.
• Ensuring professional and acceptable attire when dealing with customers.
• Providing feedback from the trade to the company.
• Ensuring that stock and money are properly accounted for.
• Ensuring all money received is accounted for.
• Keeping stock records accurate and up to date.
• Completing weekly reconciliations and ensuring they balance to zero by Thursday.
• Supporting on-time deliveries and monitoring delivery times against targets.
• Supporting sales volumes in line with targets.
• Managing product returns according to company policy.
• Maintaining positive basket flow.
• Monitoring and reporting variances.
• Taking responsibility for signing baskets in and out.
• Supporting efficient daily delivery operations.
