About the ATM Custodian Role

The ATM Custodian is responsible for the safe custodianship of cash transported to and from ATMs and the relevant cash centre. The position also involves safeguarding deposits and retained cards returned to the cash centre.

The successful candidate will be accountable for all cash under their control and will be required to ensure that ATMs are replenished with cash and stationery to support high ATM availability.

Key Responsibilities

The ATM Custodian will be responsible for:

• Loading and servicing ATMs on a daily basis.
• Securing and accounting for all cash transactions.
• Handling cash accurately and balancing transactions.
• Attending to ATM technical faults.
• Ensuring all client assets remain secure.
• Following established key-control and operational procedures.
• Conducting transaction scanning operations.
• Assisting clients and handling client interactions.
• Maintaining accurate cash-handling records.
• Supporting the continued availability of ATMs.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Clear criminal record.
• PSIRA accreditation of at least Grade B.
• Completed firearm training in handgun and rifle.
• Valid SAPS competency certificate.
• CIT certificate.
• Experience in the security industry or a similar role.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literacy.
