Key Responsibilities

Client Service and Relationship Management

• Handle client requests from beginning to resolution, referring complex matters when necessary.
• Assist clients with account onboarding, including home loans, vehicle finance and investments.
• Respond to client enquiries and provide appropriate banking solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing updates on applications, queries and requests.
• Assist clients with basic financial planning and small business banking needs.

Sales and Business Development

• Promote Nedbank products and services according to clients’ financial needs.
• Meet sales targets and contribute to client acquisition, retention and market share growth.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities through client conversations and data insights.
• Generate referrals and leads from existing clients and other business units.
• Support clients with credit-related needs and make credit recommendations in line with applicable principles.

Banking Operations and Digital Services

• Assist clients with cash services, foreign exchange and teller transactions.
• Ensure ATMs and other branch devices remain operational through cash replenishment, balancing and basic maintenance.
• Educate clients about digital banking platforms, self-service channels and alternative cash solutions.
• Encourage clients to adopt digital banking services and explain their convenience, features and security.
• Assist clients with account subscriptions, salary switching and debit order transfers where applicable.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Follow Nedbank’s policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements.
• Maintain accurate client information and comply with FICA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report suspicious transactions.
• Complete daily control checklists for relevant branch functions.
• Manage branch stock and cash holdings securely.
• Contribute to service excellence, teamwork and continuous process improvement.
