CITY OF EKURHULENI VACANCY
The City of Ekurhuleni’s Water & Sanitation Department is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for a permanent Admin Assistant: Data Capturing position. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to the department, with a strong focus on data capturing, work allocation, record keeping and coordinating administrative activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- National Diploma in Administration
- Qualification at NQF Level 6
- Computer literacy
- At least 3 years’ relevant administration experience
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- Ability to work according to established policies, procedures and service standards
- Ability to manage administrative information and records accurately
Candidates may be required to provide proof of the NQF level applicable to qualifications obtained.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Water & Sanitation Department.
- Handle and respond to complaints received from the call centre and members of the public.
- Capture, record and maintain information accurately.
- Perform administrative duties according to prescribed standards, policies and procedures.
- Log incoming work and allocate jobs to the relevant employees.
- Monitor work processes and ensure jobs are properly closed once completed.
- Implement changes to work processes as instructed to achieve departmental targets.
- Plan and organise daily activities effectively.
- Manage personal work schedules and coordinate tasks according to established processes.
- Ensure assigned work is completed within required deadlines.
- Maintain the required standards of service delivery.
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993, and related regulations.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The position would suit an organised and computer-literate administrator who is comfortable working with data, handling enquiries and complaints, maintaining accurate records and coordinating multiple administrative tasks.
