Job Overview

Transnet Port Terminals is inviting applications from recently qualified Diesel Mechanic artisans for its Work Integrated Technical Learner Programme.

The 24-month Artisan In Training Programme is designed to provide practical workplace experience to qualified Diesel Mechanic artisans who already hold a Red Seal Trade Test Certificate.

Successful candidates will receive hands-on industry exposure, mentorship and opportunities to apply their technical knowledge in a real working environment.

The programme aims to improve participants’ technical skills and employability through structured workplace training.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must have a Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
• Must have completed their trade assessment within the past four years.
• Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Must have less than one year of work experience.
• Must be a South African citizen.

Important: This opportunity is intended for recently qualified Diesel Mechanic artisans, not applicants who are still completing their apprenticeship.
