Job Purpose

The Project Administrator will provide administrative and logistical support to the project team and assist with reporting and coordination activities in line with Nedbank’s business strategy.

The position involves maintaining project information, coordinating communication, managing documentation, collecting stakeholder updates and assisting the project team with day-to-day administrative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative and reporting support to the project team.
  • Updating project data, tracking information and feedback on the central database.
  • Capturing and maintaining information received from relevant stakeholders.
  • Managing the procurement of office consumables.
  • Ensuring project-related communication is distributed to stakeholders according to the project plan.
  • Managing the archiving and filing of project documentation and artefacts in accordance with governance and audit standards.
  • Requesting and collecting status updates from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collating project feedback and ensuring relevant information is available to the team.
  • Performing quality checks on documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with agreed standards.
  • Responding to ad hoc requests and assisting the project team with deliverables.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes, tools, policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the implementation of approved process improvements.
  • Participating in initiatives that contribute to Nedbank’s transformation and culture-building objectives.
  • Supporting relevant corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation, regulatory requirements and industry developments relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrating Nedbank’s values when working with colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
  • Minimum 1 year of general administration experience is required.
  • NQF Level 5 or higher in a project-related field would be advantageous.
  • 1–2 years of project coordination or project administration experience would be advantageous.

Preferred Qualification

A qualification in one of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Diploma in Project Management.
  • Certificate in Business Administration.
  • Certificate in Project Management.
