The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced new external vacancies in Gauteng for suitably qualified candidates. The available opportunities include Grant Administrator x2 and Manager: Supply Chain Management (Level 11) x1.

Minimum Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will provide grant-related customer service and support the effective administration of social grant applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing grant customer service to beneficiaries and clients.
- Screening and capturing grant applications.
- Performing beneficiary maintenance functions.
- Administering medical bookings and assessments.
- Providing off-site grant application services.
- Scanning and batching grant files.
- Ensuring that applications and related documentation are processed accurately.

This is an external re-advertisement for a Manager: Supply Chain Management position at SASSA’s Gauteng Regional Office.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should have a qualification at NQF Level 7, recognised by SAQA, in a relevant discipline such as:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing effective demand management and the acquisition or procurement of goods and services.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing demand management and procurement activities.
- Providing guidance to regional employees on asset management matters.
- Supporting the implementation of sound asset management practices.
- Monitoring and reviewing the recording of movable and immovable assets.
- Maintaining accurate asset management registers.
- Ensuring reconciliation of fixed asset registers.
- Monitoring the asset management module.
- Ensuring optimum stock levels.
- Managing losses and disposal of redundant or obsolete assets.
- Ensuring that asset and inventory modules and processes are closed and finalised.
- Developing and submitting monthly reports.
- Managing audit queries.
- Providing support to Regional Bid Committees.
